Well, I got to say I love these things. Have tried Rim, the BB5's and couple hydros and I got to say I prefer the BB7's over them all...
1st They are sooo easy to set up!!
2nd They are soo easy to maintain!!
3rd They adjust sooo easy!!
4th I have caught hoses in twig and branches, rip the hose, you're walking... the cable on the other hand.. well you can usually rig something!!
5th Much cheaper than Hydro!!

I got to say, Hydros are a bit better and smoother stopping. but it's a minor difference!!

#6 strenghten your hands/forearm from holding down the brake lever on the downhills
