Yeah, I got out for a little 6 miler. Finalized a new little offshoot loop to my bread and butter ride. Rode my 29er, too, but SS. Seeing your new rig has got me thinking about going completely 29er. What did you pay for that frame?

I kinda got a deal... I think Bike 29 has a 20 inch for $699 left.. thinking you're taller and that's about the right size?
http://bike29.com/catalog/voodoo-canzo-29er-full-suspension-frame-p-380.html
they have all "current" frames in all sizes for another hundred bucks... ( that one is a last yr model I'm guessing)
I got to say i was a little scared getting a 16 Inch.. everything else I fit to has been a 17ish.. but I'm happy I did.. the longer base profile of the 29er frames made the smaller bike perfect!! I really don't feel like I'm riding a 29er on it..

Sounds like if I could get $1300 for my 'Horse I could do this because I already have a 29er wheelset laying around. All I would need is a fork and head set and I would have decent full suspension 29er. It's tempting.

I'll say.. I was really surprised at how well the thing rides... I have heard a LOT of issues with the Monarch Shocks.. i haven't experienced any .. yet, but ...? not a biggy though, i figured I'd be upgrading it in time. Hopefully not too soon though.

The only thing I am a little gun shy about is four bar linkage systems and climbing.

I haven't noticed any issues.. I do notice a little extra effort at some times but more because the tires and rim weight on this bike is quite a bit more than on my 26.. it's got nice mavics with nevagals.. the 29er are cheapy stock Specialized wheels and Kenda klaws... pretty heavy
