Base layers from Starter (Wal-Mart)
« on: December 28, 2008, 03:19:11 PM »
Well I got to try out my new base layers and was pretty surpised hpw well the top was in this weather. The only drawback is that it is cut a little short in the arms, It will work great in cooler weather with an outer shell. The base layer pants were thinner and ok for this weather but won't cut it in cooler weather. I will have to get a heavier pair of pants for cold weather riding. But if you are on a budget or trying cool/ cold weather riding I would recomend going this route before shelling mucho bucks on cycle specific cool/ cold weather riding clothing. The only thing  didn't get to try were my glove liners given to me by my mother-in-law so I don't know too much about them to give any info for any of you.

I got a base layer from costco...not like an underarmer shirt... more soft and fuzzy but thin fabric... $18 bucks... wish i bought 2.

now that its after new years, marshalls and tj maxx start putting out their workout clothes....
i always come home with something good from there.
