I remember UVEX goggles from my snow skiing days, but didn't know they had bike helmets till i won one at a raffle this past year.
It has become my fav of all (and i've had a few
).
First off, the retainer system is waaay kewl. A unique button latch clicks with authority to strap under the chin.
The restraint straps tighten comfortably to the back of your head and create a solid grip so the helmet stays put.
Theres a "clikketty" knob that you turn to tighten the restraint system to your head. And it snugs-up with authority.
It's a very light and comfy helmet with mesh that keeps the larger insects and assorted invaders OUT of the vents.
This is a very well thought-out design with kinda cheesy/ugly graphics.
Fortunately, the graphics are understated thanks to low-key color schemes.
I'd like to give it a 9 our of 10. Lost one point for lack of stylish looks.
Otherwise: I LOVE IT.
