SO, yesterday I'm riding along in my local state park. great day!! been riding the road back and forth to the place because it's just over a mile away. Also I kinda have been enjoying cruising through the Camping grounds over there, adds a few miles to the whole trip.... they are actually kinda cool because they have all kinds of paths going from the sites to the beach and stuff..
anyway, hit the MailBox on the way in my driveway and a little package with the new sample of chain lube was in there!! COOL!
SO I cruise up to the house, change cloths, run out and strip the chain off the bike and soak it in some Bio chain cleaner, rinse and repeat till no more black goo... hit it with the air compressor and then let dry in the sun for an hour or two... decided to go over the bike and do a basic wipe down and get the dust off her. well I look up at the handle bars and what do I see? this....
What the?Well, I freak out for a few minutes till I come the the realization, Nothing I can do about it....
finish lubing up the chain all goopy and go to bed..
SO today, I decide I'll ride the exact same route and see if I can at least find the cover, the screw is so small I Know I'll never see it in the woods. So I cruise along real slow, get off the bike at every loopy or bouncy spot where I figure it's most likely be... No go.
SO I basically give up and decide since I'm out and about I'll do the loop through the camp grounds, just for the miles and to relax a bit. So I bail across the big parking lot and hit the little path along the back side. There's this one spot where you kinda have to duck a tad a punch through a few low hanging pine branches. Well just as I'm busting through < look down, more to protect my eyes and glasses from scratching...what do I see... this !!!
WOOHOOOO screw and everything there... right in the middle of the trail!! Pine branches must have knocked it off... Now I'm very happy!!
