OK, So I get REALLY annoyed with Bugs that just float in front of your face while riding in the woods!!

It's not that they are biting or anything it's more that my vision keeps focusing back and forth between the trail and the damned bugs!!! And this year has seemed to be worse than normal, guessing from the wettish weather we had in the beginning of the season. Well about a month ago I did a minor clip of a tree on my driveway ( was playing with the gears before a ride and kept looking down at the cranks

) Anyway, the hit busted the visor on my helmet so when I would ride it would do a weird vibration, almost as annoying as the bugs. So I tore it off and stuffed it in my hydro pack.
Well been riding for some time now with out it on one helmet and with it on the other. I've been switching helmets now and again do to nastiness and sweat. I Immediately noticed the one without the visor didn't get as many bugs hovering. Oh still get one now and then, but they don't just "hang" there in front of my face. I'm guessing that the visor makes some kinda air pocket that the wind force of riding gets lessened or something. I pulled the other one off and a big difference!! Still get them, just not as many and they blow away much faster and more often. really didn't see a diff in sun light (though that might change in the fall after the trees loose the leaves...?) anyway..
If the bugs are as bad to you as to me, you might want to try it... can always snap it back on if you want to
