Test rode a few saddles. ...All were WTB models.
Although i've got a few bikes, all with different saddles, the new (not yet aquired) saddle has to be light, narrow, relatively firm, long nosed.
So far the WTB Silverado fits the billing for me. [despite the twat groove

Ordered it from my LBS and it will be mounted on my FS XC bike.
Will also be trying it on my fully rigid SS 29'r in order to decide where it will reside.
Here's my dilema:
This saddle is going on ONE of two bikes. Both bikes are very light for their categories. The FS weighs 24lbs. The SS 29'r is 20.5lbs.
The Silverado SLT weights 190g! It's not cheap either. This is a very important decision for me cause i will have this saddle for a long time.
I want the control of a hard narrow saddle, with ease of movement forward, back, and off the back of the saddle.
On my FS XS bike, lately (since the old Titec saddle has sagged and crooked) i've noticed a loss of feedback with the frame and pedals.
On the other hand, a fully rigid SS might benefit from better saddle control.
And yet...on the third hand, a softer saddle might ease the pain of the fully rigid ride.
On the fourth hand, the hard saddle might be best suited for the FS for it might improve control and feedback from the frame and pedals.
I dunno.
Am i OCD or what?!?! (don't answer that...cause i know i'm not the only one who obsesses about MTB stuffs
)
