bigger rotors?
« on: November 17, 2009, 05:38:23 PM »
well, been riding my little K2 this week a LOT waiting on new bling for the Voodoo. ( took the part off the voodoo and slapped it on the K2 till they come in...)
anyway, everything is basically the same between the two bikes when it comes to brakes other than the Voodoo has the Magura venti Disc.  I did notice though that stopping is SOOO much easier and controllable on the little wheels. same pads and all. sooo could it be the discs?  nope... switched just to make sure.

now I'm thinking going to like a 180 disc size may make the diff for stopping those wagon wheels...?  I was always kinda under the impression that it would be a tad better but not so much it was worth going through the trouble of switching out and getting all the damn adaptors... but now... hmmmm maybe it is.. :undecided:
May your last ride not be, "your last ride"!!

IMO.............You should at the very least INCREASE the rotor size on the FRONT wheel. Bigger wheel.........bigger rotor or switch to a four piston brake.
