Ground Effect (MTB winterclothes)
« on: January 31, 2010, 09:40:58 PM »
It's been 3 years of wear for my Ground Effectâ„¢ clothes.
I've got a jacked, beanie and gloves.
Jacket: Amazing. Versitile and totally adjustable for a range of venting options. The longer sleeves, complete with thumbholes/handwarmers is very nice.
This jacket has been muddied-up, rained on and nearly trashed.
Very happy with it.
The beanie fits well underneath helmets. The reinforced headband is toughest in the front...a very interesting feature.
The gloves are superlight and for a thin material, they are amazingly warm. Although Ground Effect tried to make the palms durable, i've worn mine out [in just a couple of seasons] from the grips and shifters. They (Ground Effect) might consider making tougher palms. Then, these gloves would be perfect IMHO.
For superlightweight, breathable, vent-able, durable, warm-as-toast clothing:
Gound Effect products have been "very very good to me."
I give the jacked/beanie/goves combo a 9 out of 10.
(Lost a point for the worn out palms)

Is everything from New Zealand kewl?!

The bitterness of poor workmanship remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten...
