tall cassette effect
« on: December 10, 2009, 11:55:23 AM »
soooo, shimano (and Sram to some extent) are coming out with a taller cassette to counteract the bigger wheels..
12x36 gearing is supposed to allow 9er's to have basically the same push, gearing, effort what ever you want to call it as a 26er with the standard 11x34 while still using the same rings up front.

been thinking of trying it since I heard about it, not because of the 36, but because I'm hoping the middle rings will be just a tad higher so I can stay there more...    :halo:    sooo ...

what's everyone's opinions? :undecided:
May your last ride not be, "your last ride"!!

DOn;t have an opinion yet. But theoretically it makes sense.

Time will tell.
