Hey you CT guys:
Down this way, on LI, the woods are kinda gimpy compared your trail venues up there.
Why?
Well , simply because the soil here is very sandy and doesn't stand up to "wet rides" as good as yours do.
So, do you guys (up there) obsess and argue about trail conditions as much as we do round here? Probably not.
Maybe it's more natural for LI-NY'rs to to complain and be more "edgy".

yup..  I just ignore it mostly, there are those that will do as they please and don't care about the work that other put into it.  and there are those that over obsess over it...  I just ride and if it's muddy I stay on the fire roads
