The Bike That Wouldn't Be Sold
« on: April 25, 2010, 08:54:31 PM »
Ya . They [the bikes] would not allow me to sell them.
These f'n bikes have a mind of their own. It's scary !  :o

A few years back, i built up a nice hardtail/ti MTB with a very light-cushy air fork.
THe bike was built a tad on a "racer's" geometry: Very forward and low in front.
Man this bike was fast.
However, I am NOT a racer.
So 2 years ago, I put the bike up for sale.
I rode the bike in the interim. Man that bike was fast. Climbs like it's connected to a winch. Light as a feather.
But i've got other bikes ie: A beautiful FS rig that is very light and nimble.
Heck. I do NOT race. Who needs this hardtail anyway??
So, the ad to sell the bike was out there,  and i rode it anyway in the intermim.
Man that bike rode great! Just the right amount of "compliance". Did I say "light and nimble". Oh yea, I did.
So, I had to take that ad down. Erased it. Told a couple of peeps I know (who spotted the ad) that it was
OFF THE MARKET.
This bike is creepy, cursed, alive...like "Chuckie". heh hehh...
This bike won't leave. It won't let me sell it.

There's another bike in my stable that I put up for sale just a couple of weeks ago.
THAT bike did the same thing to me!  :o
It wouldn't let me sell it.
(Did I mention that I rode it "in the intermim"?  )

Does anyone else here have a bike that that wouldn't let you sell it??
The bitterness of poor workmanship remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten...
