tore up Bottom Bracket... what ta do...?
« on: May 23, 2010, 06:35:22 PM »
Soo, yesterday I'm blasting around My normal haunt, (Rocky Neck, CT state park if ya didn't know  :undecided:) I was doing my normal steep climb spot right off the beach parking lot when a briar thingy wrapped around my crank arm, now I'm just starting the climb and it wasn't really binding SO I figure I'll finish the climb and take it off on the top. Well, when I got up there I unwrapped it from from between the bottom bracket cup and the cranks,,, well I look down and the bearing seal was all torn and twisted ECKKKK  ??? :-[...

sooo time for a new BB...  wonder what to get for a new one   :undecided: ;D Can't just get the cheapie standard version,.. need to upgrade!! (my wallet hates me...  :evil12:)

umm you do't really know me do you>?  LOLOLOL    if something breaks, I HAVE to upgrade!!

actually the whole BB is kinda old and I have hit the non-drive side cup on a rock and tweaked it a tad outa round  :undecided:  not bad but with the seal torn up (and yes, I had an old spare I replaced with, but not in the best shape) just give me the excuse to get a new thingy for the bike, cause I like new thingies for the bike   ;D

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty well preserved body but rather to skid broadside totally worn out proclaiming “”WOW What a RIDE!”
