Got one.
Now that I've had a few seasons on this fork, it's time to tell...
Mounted on my aluminum (rigid) 29'r, it has clocked some good trail time.
My fav bike tech told me: "Get a steel fork. It will be compliant.."
I chose the Salsa for: quality of build, cost effective.
When taking larger hits or drops, the fork starts to feel like a huge stiff spring.
On the smaller, stuttering stuff, it's solid and stiff, yet smooth.
I guess that's what all those "steel is real" folks are talking about.
This fork added a unique dimension to the front end.
It feels strong and gives me confidence in it's structural ingegrity.
At the end of the day:
Compliant in it's response over technical terrain and trail features.
Strong, well built.
Great value.
