I replaced my Specialized Fast Trac 29er tires that came stock on my "Pumpkin" after just a few rides I found the Fast Trac's just don't cut it in New England weather/terrain. :-\
I got the Kenda Klaw's because I was planning on using it more for a winter beater bad weather bike. these tires are front-rear specific and work well. they hookup great!! climb like crazy. they are a rather large knob which works great in snow/slop and clear well. they do have a bit of roll resistance but much less than I was thinking when I saw the size and shape of the tread.
personally, I give them a 9 out of 10 I do wish they were a little lighter... but come on... the only way a tire could be better in snow that I can think of would be a studded.
